Nik Heartsong began her path in the world of cognitive neuroscience, studying at the University of California, San Diego, where she explored one of the most fundamental questions of human existence: how does the brain create reality?

Her studies were rooted in perception, cognition, and consciousness — the mechanisms through which we interpret the world. This path led her to work as a neuroscience researcher at NASA Ames Research Center, exploring human performance and the biology of the mind.

From the outside, it was a path of logic, rigour, and credibility.

But beneath it, a deeper question was quietly unfolding:

What if reality is not just something we perceive — but something we are actively participating in creating?
